Playa Carmen is strategically located between Santa Teresa and Mal Paisa, a block to the beach from Franks Place. So  you can go in either direction if you are looking for a phone, internet or a market.

There are several right and left peaks with sand seabed and some rocky parts on the shore. The wave is best from head high to three feet overhead. It does not usually barrel on the outside sets, just provides a big slopey wall for huge carves and you can get fun waves on the inside sections, too.

Best tide is mid going to high tide.
