Located 30 minutes south of Tamarindo the access is by dirty road. It’s a very consistent and tubular right reef break, when it’s breaks big it gets powerful. It is one of the best waves in the country.
Despite the name, this is a white sand beach with crystal water. Best with NW or SW swells, it break better on mid tide and falling. At low tide it can get very hollow and tubular. The crowd in the water is consistent and the wave is not for beginners. If you have a good level you can for sure ride your best barrels you never dream about.
The water is a deep blue, and the barrels are formed perfectly when the tide and swell are right. It works best from head high to double overhead.
Best tide to surf for many is lower to mid tides, but at high tide can also be fun if there is some size.
